Types Of Breast Cancer

All of the common and aggressive types of breast cancer along with some of the proverbially less common types of breast cancer are each explained in their own dedicated articles on this website. Because of the creation of this website with the intention of providing you with everything about breast cancer we are describing all of the rest of less common and rare types of breast cancer in the following.

Medullary Carcinoma:

A particular type of invasive breast cancer in which cancer cells are large, immune system cells are present around the border of the tumor, and the tumor’s borders are clearly defined.

Colloid or Mucinous Carcinoma:

The type of breast cancer in which the cancer cells produce mucus and grow into a jelly-like tumor with its diagnostics better than other more common types of invasive breast cancer.

Tubular Carcinoma:

The rare type of breast cancer that gets its name from the appearance of the cancer cells under a microscope and that is an invasive breast cancer with its outlook more favorable than it is for invasive lobular carcinoma or ductal carcinoma.

Metaplastic Carcinoma:

The type of breast cancer that represents less than one percent of all newly diagnosed breast cancers with the having a propensity to remain localized and with the capability to contain several different types of cells that are not typically seen in other forms of breast cancer and with the prognosis and treatment methods same as for invasive ductal carcinoma.

Micropapillary Carcinoma:

The invasive type of breast cancer that tends to be relatively aggressive, frequently spreading to the lymph nodes even when very small.

Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma:

A large, local, and an invasive tumor, but is a slow-growing type of breast cancer that is unlikely to spread.
